Biography
Natalia Navarro Galvis won Miss Colombia 2009 title on Monday night, November 16, 2009 held in the city of Cartagena. She wore a stunning royal blue evening gown designed by Katherine Barcenas.

Natalia was born on August 12, 1987 in Colombia’s Golden Gate – Barranquilla. Natalia is fluent in English and she studies Financial Administration at the Florida International University in Miami, USA. In the U.S., she said that she’s like other ordinary girls who does all the household chores and goes to school everyday. She loves watching movies and going to the beach with her friends. She also confessed that she’s a devoted fan of American sitcom “Friends” and she’s interested to meet the Dalai Lama.

The 22 year-old Colombian beauty queen were often criticized because of her large nose. According to Latina.com, there are several groups of people who have joined together to encourage her to undergo nose surgery to correct her imperfect ‘schnoz.’ Natalia neglected those criticisms and she said that she preferred to compete in the Miss Universe pageant without undergoing rhinoplasty procedure. She believes that her nose is not a hindrance to get the title.

Miss Universe 2010
As the official representative of her country to the 2010 Miss Universe pageant broadcast live from Las Vegas, Nevada on August 23, 2010, Navarro became one of the Top 15 semifinalists and the only South American contestant in the final, placing 12th overall.
